Potomac Station Snow

Snow Removal Services

Potomac Station is serviced by three separate snow removal services, depending on which section of the community you live in.  Please note that regardless of the section, all residents are responsible for and required to remove and/or treat snow and ice from sidewalks that are in the front, rear, or either side (corner lots, for example) of their property.  For county residents, per Loudoun Ordinance Part 10, Title 2, Chapter 1022.  The Association is not responsible for the removal of snow as outlined here.  Snow should be removed 6 hours after it has stopped falling, or by 12:00 noon the following day if it fell overnight.  Likewise, Leesburg residents are required to remove snow within 24 hours after a snowfall.

County Side (EAST of River Creek Pkwy)
All single-family streets are maintained by VDOT. Please call 1-800-367-7623 to inquire about updates and to report unplowed streets.  Residents are responsible for snow removal on sidewalks adjacent to their property.

Town Side (WEST of River Creek Pkwy)
All single-family streets are maintained by the Town of Leesburg.  Please call the “Snow Hotline” at 703-777-7669 for questions about snow removal or to report problems.  Residents are responsible for snow removal on sidewalks adjacent to their property.

Association-Owned Streets/Trails
All townhome sections are plowed by a contracted snowplowing company. Please call the association office at 703-669-0999.  If the office is closed, please contact the 24/7 FirstService Residential Call Center at 855-333-5149.  Residents are responsible for snow removal on sidewalks adjacent to their property.  Please refer to Snow Removal Policy 2016-01 for details on the Association’s policy.  This can be found by logging in to the Connect Resident Portal and locating the Resolution Policies under Documents.
